Frosty Vox Box from Influenster!

It's true what they say, the best things in life are free!

I recently received a Frosty Vox Box from Influenster. This is my second Vox Box (the first being the Vaseline Vox Box) from them. If you aren't on Influenster yet, you need to check it out here. It's super simple, just sign up, and link your social networking accounts. The website uses the number of friends/followers you have to determine your "reach" and that helps determine your chances of receiving a Vox Box. The more reach you have, the higher your chances. But it doesn't just end there. You can also review products you have already tried via the website, and unlock badges. Badges help up your chances of receiving a Vox Box as well. There are "snaps," or questions that help Influenster learn more about you to see which products would be best to send to you as well. It's always good to make sure those are all filled out (quite quick process really). I haven't been terribly active with the site, unfortunately, as I have so many things going on at any given time, but I have still been able to get a free few products to try from them. Randomly you may get an email with a survey to prequalify for a Vox Box. If you qualify, you will get an email within the following couple weeks letting you know you got in. It's super easy, super fun, and super rewarding.

Without further ado, I bring you the Frosty Vox Box.

My favorite thing about this box is it is a grouping of several different products to try! And I'll be reviewing those here in the near future on my blog. But today, it's all about what's inside! So come take a peek at my Vox Box!

I received a sample of No.7 Advanced Protect and Perfect serum. Included with that was a $2 off Target coupon to buy more of the product if I so choose! The product is clinically proven to be effective at visibly reducing fine lines. it touts that it will give you younger/more radiant looking skin in just two weeks. Now, there isn't enough in the package to test it for two weeks. I'm not sure I'll be able to use this for 2 weeks because it does have salicylic acid in it, which my skin reacts extremely poorly to. So, it'll be interesting to see if this product works well for me or not, I'll be doing a video on it shortly.

There was a sample of Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane green tea with a $0.55/off one box of Celestial Seasonings Tea. We always grew up with Celestial Seasonings tea in our home, so I'm super excited to redeem that coupon and pick some up. I'm a sucker for green tea!

I got a 5 oz bag of Strawberry Fruit Vines, those didn't even last the day...for shame! They were little globs of chewy deliciousness, I'll be buying more for sure!

I received a full-sized bottle of McCormick All Natural Thyme, which led to a terrible joke about having too much THYME on my hands, oh dear! I always have some McCormick seasonings hanging around, they are always of good quality, and I love that this is all-natural. You'll have to stick around and see what I drum up with this!

There was a bottle of Rimmel London gentle eye makeup remover. What's funny is that I had done an unboxing video of this Vox Box and had demonstrated how wonderfully the eye liner marks on my hand, and after the video, I tried using this product to remove the eye liner from my hand, and I wasn't really all that impressed with how much I had to scrub to remove the product. So, I'm not really all that set on this product, not sure if I'll buy more when it's all gone. It helps to remove some of the eye makeup that I have on, but it doesn't get it all. That being said, it is very gentle on my skin.

Also, I got a Rimmel London Scandaleyes waterproof eye liner! This marked really well on my hand, but when I tried to use it on my eyes, it wouldn't apply as easily or as dark, and it led to me being slightly frustrated. But I'm a novice with eye makeup, I'm not going to lie. With some practice, I have gotten better with it. This product smudges a lot (at least for me, maybe I touch my eyes too much and don't realize it), and I feel like I look like a raccoon by the end of the day. I didn't dislike the product enough to not try their other products, so I will be trying their liquid eye liner and seeing if that is easier for me to get a nice clean line with, and see if that is as easy to smudge. I do have oily skin, and it's possible that this is the reason this eye liner and I do not get along so well.

I also received a full size NYC lipstick in Sugar Plum (418). The color on this is beautiful. It goes really well with my complexion and with my dark/bold red (dyed) hair. I'm not a huge lipstick fan because I don't like getting lipstick on my drinks, and on my electronic vaping device. If I blot my lips on some tissue, it helps, but then the color is more muted of course. Over all, I'm satisfied with this product, as much as I can be with any lipstick (I prefer lip stains, but they don't bode well with my dry lips)

Lastly, I received an EcoTools styler+smoother hair brush. As far as brushing goes, this brush is less damaging to my hair than others I have tried. When using it for styling, it's slightly large for my short hair, but it gets the job done. The bristles are secured to a very flexible material beneath it that will allow the brush to conform to your head. This is going to sound silly, but for a person with severe dermatographia, this brush is very gentle on my head (meaning, I'm not going to get itchy spots/hives/wheals after using it). I'm going to check out their other brushes and see if I can find a slightly smaller brush to fit my hair length a bit better. Overall, I'm happy with this product. I use it with my hair dryer (which conveniently is burning out, so if the sweeping fairies see this, send some hair dryer luck my way) and because it is so open and airy, it allows the heated air to blow through it, drying my hair much faster than if I wasn't using it.

Included in the box is a little card that tells everything that was included in the box, and a value for each product. All in all, the value of this box, which is well over $30 (and almost all of the products included were full-sized).

What's cool about this is I didn't spend a dime. Influenster will not ask for money for the box, they will not ask for shipping to get it to you, you don't return anything, and you don't have to pay for it if you like it. Obviously, if you want more, you'll have to go buy it, but no money is ever exchanged for the box or its contents. I think that's great! And several of the products included in this box are products I have seen and thought about purchasing, but hadn't actually purchased them yet.

Over all, it's great to be an Influenster. Come join me here.

'Til next time,

-Sue

I received the Frosty Vox Box and it's contents for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinions. Look for those in the upcoming weeks!
