Foxbrim - Total Hair Repair Oil - Review

You know I'm a sucker for Foxbrim's Ultra Lift face cream, so when they asked me to try their hair oil, I jumped all over it.

This hair oil is supposed to nourish, repair, and restore hair. It contains Sunflower oil, argan oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, vitamin n5, Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, and Shea Butter. All of these oils are great for the hair as well as the skin. There is no scent to the product, which I'm indifferent about (I like hair products to be scented, but it's not necessary).

The directions on the bottle say to put a squirt or so of oil on your hands, rub them together, and then rub throughout your hair. This is a hair treatment, not a leave-in oil. So, after 10 minutes, 2 hours, or overnight (basically as long as you want, it really won't hurt anything), you can leave the oil in.

When I first put it in my hair, I noticed my hair was glistening, different tones of color were showing through (in a good way). Since I typically put oil in my hair at night, I did it the same way with this product. When I awoke, I looked in the mirror, and my hair had gone from absolutely beautiful, glistening gorgeousness, to absolutely heavy and oily. So this product absolutely needs to be washed out. I shower every morning, so this really isn't a problem for me, but if you are not going to have time to shower after using this product, just know it will make your hair very oily. It washes out easily (it's not like trying to get grease out of a pan or anything), and left my hair feeling good in the end.

Foxbrim Total Hair Repair Oil is currently selling on Amazon for $17.95. This is right on target with other hair oils. The company stands by it's products and offers 100% money-back guarantees on all of the products they sell. The bottle is made of glass, and the pump works very well (didn't clog up for me, and consistently let out the same amount of oil). Overall, I think the product is great, but I'm not sure that I will be purchasing it again. I hate to admit that I have every intention of showering in the morning after waking up, but there are so many things in life that change every day, and from time to time I don't have a chance to get myself cleaned up. It's embarrassing to type that out, but seriously, as a mother and an on call paraprofessional, my day changes in the blink of an eye. I'm sure you can relate. Unfortunately, if I am assuming I'll have time in the morning and I put this oil in my hair, and then all of a sudden I need to be to work in 5 minutes, I can't go in with oily/greasy hair. I prefer to use dry oils or leave in oils that do not leave your hair greasy and can be left in (just in case).

However, that's not to say that this product doesn't have uses in my household! Watch out for a recipe using the wonderful oils in this product!

'Til next time,

-Sue

I received this product for free from Foxbrim through Tomoson.com. Regardless, the opinions in this review are 100% my own.
