Salsa Dance Workout - Review

Recently I received a Salsa Dance Workout DVD in the mail.

You aren't going to get a lot of pictures with this review, unfortunately, watching me attempt to salsa dance is really not all that photogenic!

Since my goal this year is to lose 25 pounds, I was super excited to try a new dance workout dvd. Usually dance workouts get my heart rate up decently, and get me nice and sweaty. I know I'm burning calories, and I am worn out afterwards. I'm a huge fan of DDR and other dance video games for precisely this reason (especially since you are burning calories while having fun).

Unfortunately with this DVD, I did not get that. My heart rate didn't change at all, I didn't work up a sweat, and other than some slight stretching in my gluteus region, I didn't feel much different after trying this workout. In fact, for the majority of this DVD, I didn't do much more than wear a spot in the floor from going back and forth in the exact same spot.

The filming appears to be aged, and the man who is talking throughout the video, he can get a bit annoying to listen to.

So, if you are looking for a good workout (even as a beginner, somebody that's out of shape even), this is not going to be the DVD for you.

However, if you are looking to learn a few salsa steps, and calorie burning is not what you are concerned about, this instructional video truly does go at exactly the right pace. They give you new moves as soon as you have mastered, or maybe came close to mastering, the previous move. The pace is just right if you are just wanting to learn some steps.

If you would like to learn a few salsa moves, go on over to Amazon, and pick up a copy for yourself!

'Til next time,

-Sue

I received this product in exchange for an honest review.
